The flight, which takes approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes, is the only thing standing in the way of customers and their iconic “culture saturated” destination of Morocco, which is best known for its marketplaces, architecture and interesting history.According to Liverpool Airport’s website: “Saturated with culture and decades of history, this Moroccan ‘Red City’ will leave you pining for more.

“From magical mansions in the Medina to the gorgeous green space at La Mamounia, Marrakech is full of surprises waiting to be discovered.

“Whether you’re a lover of ancient history, or just fancy taking some time out in a traditional riad and spa, there’s endless activities to keep the whole party busy on your trip to Marrakech.”

The best advice is to visit during Spring or Autumn to avoid scorching temperatures which can reach up to 42°C during the summer. Unless you’re a fan of such heat, of course!

Mark Povall, LJLA’s Director of Air Service Development commented, “Today’s departure to Marrakech is the first flight from Liverpool to North Africa for some time and another new route by Ryanair from here.

Just last month Ryanair announced further significant expansion of their business from Liverpool for Summer 2017 and we look forward to repeating celebrations like this for other new Ryanair destinations too.”
